Territory Sales Manager – Life Science Technologies

Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing life science technology company developing advanced laboratory workflow solutions used across genomics, molecular biology, translational research, clinical diagnostics, and drug discovery environments.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for integrated workflow and automation solutions, we are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive commercial activities across Eastern and South-East Germany, Austria, and German-speaking Switzerland.
The Role
The successful candidate will take ownership of a strategically important territory and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships across academic research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, clinical, and contract research environments.
This is a consultative sales role focused on complex laboratory workflows and advanced sample preparation technologies. The position requires the ability to engage scientific and commercial stakeholders, understand customer workflows and bottlenecks, and position workflow solutions that improve throughput, reproducibility, and laboratory efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Territory development and strategic account management
- New business acquisition and pipeline generation
- Managing long and complex sales cycles
- Delivering product demonstrations and customer presentations
- Supporting installations and customer onboarding activities
- Building relationships with key opinion leaders and decision makers
- Working closely with internal applications and technical support teams
- Maintaining accurate pipeline management and forecasting within CRM systems
Candidate Profile
We are interested in candidates with a strong combination of scientific understanding and commercial capability. Experience selling into genomics, molecular biology, oncology, proteomics, diagnostics, or laboratory automation environments would be highly advantageous.
Suitable backgrounds may include:
- Life science capital equipment sales
- Laboratory automation or workflow solutions
- NGS and genomics technologies
- Sample preparation or molecular biology tools
- Scientific applications or consultative technical sales
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong consultative and relationship-based selling skills
- Ability to operate independently within a large territory
- Commercial drive and proactive business development capability
- Confidence interacting with scientific customers and senior stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A structured and strategic sales approach
A scientific degree in life sciences, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field is preferred.
